Time Passes by
This photo collage starts with the day after my arrival in New Delhi, India in August 1985. One month later and I am in Calcutta and I think at this stage I 'get' India. Fast Forward 2006 and I am in Zorba's 'complete catastrophe' to yesterday which is a result of one month of empty nesting. Say no more.

Liberal MP defends migrant hygiene comments
The Opposition's spokeswoman on citizenship and settlement, Teresa Gambaro, was quoted in one media report this morning as saying: "Without trying to be offensive, we are talking about hygiene and what is an acceptable norm in this country when you are working closely with other co-workers."
"You hear reports of people using public transport [without deodorant] and I think Australians are guilty of this too," she added. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-01-10/liberal-mp-defends-migrant-hygiene-comments/3765424
I hope Ms Gambaro remembers her childhood and those of her newly arrived compatriots who suffered the same criticism except it was about smelling like garlic, eating strange foods in weird looking bread, wearing stupid clothes and not speaking English. Bring back meat and 3 vegies! Spare me, such short memories
PS I harvested my garlic crop last week, one clove! There is always next year. |
