I upset a friend with my flag waving rant. Generalisations can offend the wrong people and for that I apologise. Unfortunately bigots can derail the best of intentions. I love my Country because of it's diversity not it's narrowness. However this Article makes interesting reading.

The following article was emailed to me. The bit about Rick Santorum and Google is hilarious.

Slip-ups slam door on US candidates

In 2003, while a US senator, the deeply conservativeRick Santorum made comments that perhaps he came to regret: "In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing."

This was seen by some in the gay community, perhaps understandably, as him comparing homosexuality to paedophilia and bestiality. As a result, gay rights activist Dan Savage decided to get even. He launched an online campaign to get a new sex-related definition for the word "Santorum".

The final definition cannot be repeated here. However, more worrying for Santorum is that it is still the No.1 result for his name every time it is typed into Google.
